Dry Carpet Cleaning Method

Intensive Deep Cleaning and Dry Extraction

Intensive deep carpet cleaning is recommended once or twice a year, depending on how heavily the space is used. It is the most thorough cleaning process, designed to achieve the highest possible level of carpet cleanliness. Because a larger amount of dirt is typically embedded in the fibres, several cleaning steps are required to achieve the best possible result.

Before applying cleaning agents, dry soil removal is carried out. This step can remove up to 75–80% of all dirt from the carpet. It also lifts the fibres and prepares the carpet for the application of the cleaning product..

Crystal Cleaner loosens the dirt from the carpet fibres, and the dry cleaning compound absorbs it like millions of tiny sponges. Once the contaminated compound is removed, the carpet is immediately ready for use.

Ongoing Cleaning with Crystal Cleaner

Ongoing cleaning is ideally carried out several times between deep‑cleaning sessions. For example, if you normally perform deep cleaning once a year but the area has a higher footfall, you can schedule quarterly maintenance cleanings that focus only on the most heavily used zones and keep the carpet looking presentable throughout the year. This ensures that the carpet maintains a great appearance all year round.

Crystal Cleaner loosens and encapsulates dirt from the carpet fibres. This process also extends the carpet’s lifespan, as dry soil is removed more frequently.

Warning about carpet suitability

The Carpet Cleaner dry‑cleaning system is suitable for all carpeted floors that can be maintained using brush‑type vacuum cleaners. It is less suitable — or even unsuitable — for oriental rugs or carpets that may only be vacuumed with a smooth nozzle. This group includes Saxony carpets, shaggy carpets, rustic wool Berbers and especially long‑pile cotton carpets.

It is recommended to test the suitability of the brush on a less visible area of the carpet.
